Meet Shelly "Heidi" Thompson, Vocals and MC!

Shelly grew up in Poland, Ohio, where she attended Poland Seminary High School.

She earned a Bachelor's and Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Bucknell University, where she majored in both English and German. Shelly also received an administrative degree from Brockport University after her move to the Rochester area.

Shelly taught German and English in Montoursville, Pennsylvania for 12 years. She started both the German program and the musical theatre program at Montoursville High School, but left the district to marry her husband, Bruce Thompson.

Shelly now resides in Webster with Bruce, the trombone and keyboard player for the Krazy Firemen. Shelly is currently a teacher of German, English, and Performing Arts in the Marion Central School District, where she also directs and choreographs the high school productions. Shelly has worked in the Marion Central district for 18 years and she has once again developed a musical theatre program for the district. With a thriving German program in place, Shelly also travels to Europe every two years with her German students.

Shelly has also worked as a choreographer for local theatre groups and schools, such as Pittsford Musicals, Pittsford Sutherland High School, Rochester Broadway Theatre League, Webster Theatre Guild, and RIT.

In her spare time, Shelly loves to spend time at her mountain retreat on Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks. Her summertime hobbies are reading, golfing, and traveling!

Shelly has been singing with the Krazy Firemen for the past 4 years and thoroughly enjoys working with the group!
